The 175G5239 is a three-phase soft starter manufactured by Danfoss for the MCD Soft Starters series and used in the MCD 202 line. This controller limits mechanical and electrical stress when large induction motors are energized, making it suitable for conveyors, pumps, and fans that cannot tolerate across-the-line starting. By reducing the current surge at startup, it helps limit belt slip, pressure shock, and abrupt torque transfer in connected machinery. Soft starting also reduces sudden line voltage dips that can affect other equipment connected to the same supply.
The starter is rated for applications up to 75 kW and can deliver a continuous motor current of 140 A. It accepts mains input from 200-575 VAC, while the control circuit can be powered from 110/240 VAC or 440 VAC; the separate supply keeps the logic active during mains interruptions.
