The 175G5218 is a solid-state motor soft starter from Danfoss and belongs to the MCD Soft Starters series in the MCD 202 product group. It is intended for three-phase power installations where gradual motor acceleration lowers mechanical stress and limits line disturbances during startup. By controlling the voltage applied to induction motors, the device helps maintain predictable torque and reduces inrush peaks in industrial automation lines. This soft starter is useful where controlled acceleration helps reduce belt shock, pressure surges, or abrupt load changes at startup.

This model supports line supplies from 200-440 VAC and can deliver up to 90 kW of motor power in the compact C-Frame. The control circuit accepts 110/240 VAC or a single 440 VAC source, allowing it to match available auxiliary power.
