The 136G7352 is a motor soft starter produced by Danfoss as part of the MCD Soft Starters series. Acting as an electronic stage between a three-phase mains supply and an AC induction motor, the unit controls the initial voltage gradient so belts, pumps, and fans accelerate smoothly, minimizing torque shock and extending mechanical service life in automated installations. Its integrated bypass contactor transfers running current away from the power semiconductors once full speed is reached, reducing heat and overall energy dissipation during steady-state operation.
The starter accepts line supplies from 200-525 V AC across three phases and is dimensioned for a continuous motor draw of 244 A. An internal bypass architecture, implemented through an internal bypass contactor, eliminates thyristor losses after ramp-up, which helps panels stay cooler. The logic circuitry is energized by a control input of 110-120/220-240 V AC, permitting installation on either standard plant voltage level without auxiliary transformers, and it draws 600 mA from that source.
