The 136G7350 is a solid-state soft starter from Danfoss in the MCD Soft Starters series and the VLT Soft Starter MCD product group. Designed for integration into three-phase motor feeders, the unit ramps the supply voltage and current to limit mechanical shock and electrical inrush during motor acceleration. Within industrial automation panels, it operates as a controlled semiconductor alternative to electromechanical starters, supporting coordinated start-and-stop profiles for high-horsepower pumps, compressors, and conveyor drives.
The starter carries a nominal motor current rating of 735 A, and its power section is insulated for up to 690 V AC, permitting direct connection to compatible industrial power supplies. An open-style enclosure classified as IP00 means the device must be mounted inside a protective cabinet with directed airflow. Upstream protection can be provided by a circuit breaker rated up to 1200 A, while the thyristor stack can tolerate impulse transients of 6 kV on the mains.
