An enclosure rating of IP20 permits cabinet mounting in clean control rooms where only basic finger protection is necessary. When fed from 480 V mains, the recommended branch fuse is 80 A, ensuring coordination between upstream protection and the semiconductor devices inside the unit. Under heavy-duty cycles at 480 V, it can start motors up to 30 hp; this figure reflects the thermal capacity of the SCR stack during repeated starts.
