That controlled ramp reduces mechanical shock, limits peak current, and helps protect conveyors, pumps, and fan systems in industrial plants.
This model carries a maximum line current of 343 A, which defines its continuous thermal capability under standard wiring. For inside-delta arrangements, the AC-53a rating rises to 515 A, allowing the use of a smaller cabinet while preserving motor torque. Motor capacity reaches 250 hp on 480 V systems, which suits many mid-range HVAC and process loads. Insulation is rated for 690 V AC and can withstand surges up to 6 kV.
