The FCD 307 is a decentralized variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the FCD 300 Micro Drives series. Designed to mount close to or directly on the motor, the unit converts a fixed three-phase mains supply into a modulated electrical output. It regulates the speed and torque of induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and machine modules within industrial automation systems.

At nominal load, the drive operates with an efficiency of 96%, which limits electrical losses. The housing carries an IP66 rating and a NEMA designation of Type 4X Indoor, so dust, water jets, and washdown cleaning do not compromise the electronics. Thermal dissipation is modest because power loss at maximum load is only 40 W. Its decentralized arrangement also reduces the length of motor wiring required between the drive and the connected machine.
