The 178B5774 is a micro frequency converter built by well-trained personnel from Danfoss automation for speed and torque control in automation systems. This converter is an IP66 product that is built for decentral mounting. It does not require any form of interference and is perfect for an environment where a high amount of contamination is expected, or cleaning is expected to be carried out regularly. The converter does not require installation into a control cabinet; it is flexible enough for stand-alone mounting in any position as required by the operator. The operation principle for this product is the Voltage Vector Control (VVC) principle, which involves the rectification of the AC voltage received from the mains supply into DC voltage, which is further changed into an AC voltage supplied to the connected motor with a variable frequency and amplitude.
The 178B5774 frequency converter comes with a heatsink attached to its housing. Heat produced in the unit during operation is dissipated through this heat sink. The heatsink should be cleaned regularly to prevent the accumulation of dust, which can affect its efficiency. To provide connected motors with an integral electronic motor protection, this product accurately determines the current motor temperature, the using current, supply frequency and time, and high temperature or overheating risks are promptly communicated in real time. The temperature protection capacity of this product is not effective when it is operated with multiple motors simultaneously connected in parallel.
