Product Description:
The 131X7578 is an IP66 frequency converter that can be used in a polluted environment without the risk of damage from water or dust penetration. As part of the Danfoss Automation FCD micro drive series, this product is small enough to fit into environments with limited installation spaces. The operation of this product is designed to be easy for well-trained personnel; however, it should also be used in the conditions stated in its documentation. The operation of this product can lead to Electromagnetic Interference; however, there is a built-in RFI filter installed inside the product to reduce this interference to the lowest possible level. There is no control panel or panel connection present on this product; however, it has five indicator lamps that communicate information about the voltage, warning, alarm, status and bus.
The 131X7578 features a fieldbus option which allows it to efficiently receive process data from a wide range of sources at high speed. The configuration of this product is done through a centrally located computer that is serially connected to the converter. The computer is also required to have a communication software known as the VLT Software Dialogue. The cooling process of this product is heavily dependent on the heatsink that is integrated into its housing. The effectively need of the cooling system heavily depends on its ambient temperature and the ease with which cool air can circulate around the product. The installation position of this unit should allow a minimum clearance distance of 100 millimeters above and below the housing of the product to aid circulation.
