The 080Z0010 is an electronic climate controller manufactured by Danfoss within the Electronic Climate Controllers series. It serves as a compact field module that monitors temperature and pressure signals and then energizes external relays to maintain setpoints in refrigeration racks, cold rooms, or other automated HVAC assemblies. By combining sensor inputs and relay logic in one housing, the device reduces panel wiring and simplifies integration with supervisory control systems.
The controller operates from a supply of 24 V AC/DC ±20%, and its internal electronics draw only 5 VA, a level suited for auxiliary power rails in distributed cabinets. The controller provides 8 analog inputs across eight differential channels that can be wired for voltage, current, or resistive sensing elements. For direct voltage feedback, a dedicated input range of 0–10 V is available, while temperature sensing is handled with a Pt1000 element referenced at 0 °C. The module resolves temperature changes down to 0.1 °C and limits deviation to a tolerance of ±0.5 °C. A separate pressure input accepts AKS 32R or AKS 32 transmitters that deliver a 1–5 V signal, allowing simultaneous monitoring of suction or discharge pressure in closed circuits.
Control action is delivered through 8 relay outputs with SPDT contacts. Each relay can switch up to 230 V through its normally open or normally closed path, while the lowest recommended switching potential is 24 V to ensure reliable contact operation. Continuous resistive loads are supported up to an AC-1 rating of 4 A, and inductive pilot duties are supported up to an AC-15 rating of 3 A. The pressure input chain offers 1 mV resolution and maintains a measurement uncertainty of ±10 mV, allowing the controller to react precisely to small variations in system pressure.
