Product Description:
The 080Z0007 is an electronic climate controller from Danfoss that belongs to the Electronic Climate Controllers series. The unit is intended for refrigeration and HVAC installations where dedicated regulation of temperature and pressure loops is required. It receives direct sensor signals, executes programmed logic, and drives downstream devices, allowing a machine builder to implement closed-loop control without a full PLC. Mounted inside a control cabinet or equipment housing, it interfaces with rack compressors, heat exchangers, and air-handling components, providing localized intelligence that shortens field wiring and simplifies setup.
The controller provides 8 differential analog inputs for reading thermistors, pressure transmitters, and other passive devices. Power is supplied at 24 V AC/DC ±20%, and the internal circuitry draws only 2 VA, so a small Class 2 transformer is sufficient. A stabilized auxiliary rail of 5 V supports ratiometric pressure sensors, while dedicated terminals can power up to five transmitters simultaneously. The PC/ABS enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP10, making it suitable for indoor panels where airflow is present but protection against dripping water is unnecessary. Pressure feedback is digitized with a resolution of 1 mV and an accuracy of ±10 mV, supporting fine adjustment of expansion valves in multi-compressor racks.
A secondary supply rail of 12 V is available for active probes that require more voltage than the five-volt bus provides. Temperature loops use a Pt1000 sensor with a resistance of 1,000 ohms at 0 °C, achieving a total system accuracy of ±0.5 °C and a display resolution of 0.1 °C. Digital contact supervision is also provided; an input is regarded as on when resistance falls below 20 ohms and turns off when resistance rises above 2 kΩ. These thresholds allow the controller to distinguish between wet and dry relay outputs without ambiguity. All values are processed across a two-kilovolt isolation barrier between the signal and supply domains to reduce noise pickup in electrically congested equipment rooms.
