The 080G5000 electronic climate controller is produced by Danfoss for the Electronic Climate Controllers series. Intended for refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat-pump panels, the unit supervises valve actuation, sensor feedback, and alarm logic so that temperature and pressure stay within programmed limits. By combining local processing with fieldbus connectivity, the controller allows PLCs or building-management systems to exchange setpoints and status data while leaving critical loop regulation at the equipment level. Its compact enclosure mounts inside standard control cabinets, where it occupies minimal space and simplifies panel wiring.
The controller offers 5 analog inputs with an input impedance of 100 kΩ each, letting it read temperature probes, pressure transducers, or level transmitters without loading the source signal. One analog output is available for proportional devices, and two digital inputs capture switch states such as door contacts or float alarms. Communication with upstream automation is handled through RS485 Modbus RTU, enabling multidrop wiring over long distances. For direct valve or actuator control, the device provides 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA current loops for loads up to 500 Ω. The controller also has three SPDT relays with dry contacts for switching compressors, fans, or alarm circuits.
Total power draw is limited to 15 VA (10 W), an advantage in panels with constrained auxiliary supplies. The electronics accept either 24 V AC ±20% at 50/60 Hz or 24 V DC ±20%, so the same model can be used with transformer-fed or battery-backed systems. Installation uses a DIN rail, and an internal solid-state relay channel delivers 3 A at 24 V AC or DC for pulsed valve drives. The valve output supports AKV, AKVA, and ICM valves equipped with ICAD actuators. A dedicated Danfoss CAN bus provides communication with satellite modules. A separate level signal input accepts either a 4–20 mA or 0–10 V signal from liquid indicators in receivers or oil separators.
