Product Description:
The 084B8130 controller is manufactured by Danfoss and is part of the AK-CC55 Case Controllers series. Intended for installation in commercial refrigeration equipment, the device supervises temperature regulation, defrost cycles, and lighting tasks in display cases and walk-in coolers. Within an automated plant, it converts sensor feedback into control actions that stabilize product temperature and reduce energy use. Status data and alarms can be forwarded to higher-level monitoring systems, allowing operators to adjust setpoints or acknowledge faults without visiting each enclosure.
The unit provides 6 analog inputs that accept Pt1000 probes on channels S2 and S6 and the AKS 32R pressure transmitter, so suction pressure and evaporator temperature can be controlled from a single board. Three process events are captured through 3 digital inputs, while six transistor outputs actuate fans, heaters, or lighting contactors. All parameters are shown locally on a three-digit LED display for quick verification. When mounted in a cabinet, the electronics remain protected by the housing’s IP20 rating. Electrical power is drawn directly from a 230 V AC (+10%/-15%) supply at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and internal consumption is limited to 5 VA, minimizing transformer sizing in multi-controller panels.
A supercapacitor maintains the real-time clock for 4 h after a loss of mains power, ensuring defrost scheduling is preserved during short outages. Output DO1 is a solid-state switch rated for currents up to 0.5 A and can handle line voltages as high as 240 V AC, so external relays are unnecessary for most alarm circuits. The electronics can operate at ambient temperatures up to +55 °C, and storage is permitted at temperatures up to +70 °C. These temperature limits allow the controller to operate in warm mechanical rooms or remain stored in stockrooms.
