Product Description:
The Danaher EA700-26000 is a rotary limit switch in the Snaplock Limit Switches series. This model combines a maintained lever mechanism with snap-acting contacts to establish angular end positions for conveyors, hoists, or indexing tables. By translating shaft rotation into discrete electrical signals, the switch provides position feedback that can interrupt power or trigger control logic in industrial automation cells. It mounts directly on a machine shaft and trips cams at preset angles.
Beneath the cover, a set of 2 NO / 2 NC butt contacts forms dual isolated circuits for simultaneous signaling and power interruption. These contacts are fabricated from a silver alloy, a material chosen for low resistance and resistance to arc erosion at currents up to 20 A on 125 VAC lines. Clockwise motion must overcome an operating torque of 6 in-lb before snap action occurs. The mechanism then trips after 55° of rotation and remains engaged while 55° of clockwise travel is maintained. Counterclockwise movement actuates the opposite cam after 25°, allowing bidirectional limit sensing. The butt contact geometry and maintained contact and lever action keep the circuits latched until the shaft returns. The switch operates from -20 °C to +90 °C, covering most industrial environments.
The enclosure is made from die-cast zinc, providing mechanical strength and electromagnetic interference shielding while keeping weight moderate. Cable entry uses a 1-11 1/2 NPT conduit thread that mates with standard rigid metallic conduit. The unit has an overall height of 7.06 in, providing clearance for lever travel when installed in the standard mounting style. Its geometry permits a single rotation sweep of 60° for positive cam engagement without overstressing the internal springs. A shaft diameter tolerance of 0.495 to 0.490 in accommodates common drive shafts. The unit attaches with the standard mounting pattern used throughout the series.
