Product Description:
This EA700-26000 Limit Switch is part of a robust and versatile series designed by a leading manufacturer Danaher known for high performance industrial components. It is ideal for an industrial automation environment that requires precise and reliable motion control solutions.
The EA700-26000 switch can be actuated in both directions of rotation such as clockwise and anticlockwise which offers flexibility in installation and use cases. In the clockwise direction the angular movement needed before the switch is needed is 55°. In the clockwise direction the optimal angular movement for reliable and consistent operation is 60° which ensures proper actuation without over traveling. The maximum physical movement allowed in the clockwise direction before the internal stop or limit is reached is 116°. When the switch is tripped in the clockwise direction the actuator rotates 22° and rotates back in the opposite direction before it resets. The angle of the actuator rotates 25° counterclockwise before the switch changes state which indicates the switch responds to movement in the CCW direction and also it needs to rotate back clockwise (from a CCW actuation) to reset the switch to its original state. The optimal angular rotation for counterclockwise actuation is 60° to balance responsiveness and longevity. The maximum safe angular travel in the counterclockwise direction is 124° and going beyond this might damage the internal mechanism or make the switch fail.
This Snaplock Limit Switches series model housing and fasteners are made of stainless steel which provides durability and corrosion resistance. Once actuated the module contacts stay in the activated position until manually or mechanically reset by reversing travel. To move the actuator in each direction a rotational force of 6 in-lbs (CW) and 12 in-lbs (CCW) as it takes more effort to move CCW than CW.
Frequently Asked Questions about EA700-26000:
Q: How does the maintained contact feature improve functionality in industrial applications?
A: Maintained contact ensures the switch remains in its triggered state until reset manually or mechanically. This is beneficial for applications requiring stable signal holding.
Q: Why is stainless steel used in the EA700-26000 limit switch housing and fasteners?
A: Stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. This enhances the switch's performance in harsh or outdoor industrial environments.
Q: What is the purpose of having different torque values for CW and CCW operation?
A: The different torque values reflect the internal mechanical resistance and spring tension. It ensures directional control and optimized performance during actuation in each direction.
Q: How does the 60° recommended travel help in the EA700-26000 switch’s performance?
A: The 60° travel ensures consistent actuation without stressing internal components. It provides optimal balance between responsiveness and component longevity.
Q: What are the benefits of three mounting styles in the EA700-26000 switch?
A: Multiple mounting options offer flexibility during installation. This adaptability makes it suitable for a wide variety of mechanical layouts in industrial systems.
