By combining mechanical snap action with sealed contacts, the device supports industrial automation applications that require repeatable cam-based indexing under moderate exposure to dust, water, or oil. Its shaft-driven design allows machine motion to actuate electrical circuits at selected angular positions without relying on separate electronic position sensors.
Electrically, the switch carries two normally open and two normally closed contacts arranged in Form Z, so opposing poles change state simultaneously. Each pair uses a butt-contact arrangement to provide reliable switching when the internal cam mechanism reaches its actuation point.
