Product Description:
The EA170-21300 is a highly precise Limit switch made for precise motion control in industrial automation systems. Danaher's switch is set up with a Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) design and rocker-type SNAP-LOCK technology that makes it easy to operate. The EA170 switch can be used in situations where safe operation is needed in areas that are dust-tight, water-tight, and oil-tight.
The EA170-21300 limit switch has a "Z"-shaped contact design with two normally open circuits and two normally closed circuits. The body is made of die-cast zinc, which doesn't rust, and the top cover and screws are made of stainless steel. The contacts on the switch are gold-plated, which lowers resistance and makes them last longer. The EA170 switch is safe and meets the standards set by NEMA 1, 4, and 13. The switch can also withstand vibrations and earthquakes. The switch has high-temperature parts and oils to make it last longer. The positive lever latching system makes the control more reliable. There is room for up to nine wires of wiring. There are 20 amps at 125V AC, 15 amps at 250V AC, and 10 amps at 480V AC. The limit switch can handle 5 amps at 125V and 1.5 amps at 250V in DC.
The EA170-21300 limit switch can move up to 37° and has a pre-travel specification of 10° or 6 1/2°. The working lever can be adjusted to make small changes of 7°30' all the way around the 360° range. The limit switch can work in a clockwise, counterclockwise, or constant direction. The EA170 switch is designed to work with systems that need accurate movement and reliable performance. The switch can be used in industrial automation where it needs to work in more than one way and be actuated safely. The switch is long-lasting and stable in terms of performance.
Frequently Asked Questions about EA170-21300:
Q: Why does EA170-21300 have gold-plated contacts?
A: Gold-plated contacts minimize electrical resistance. They ensure long-term conductivity and reduce oxidation for reliable switching performance.
Q: How does EA170-21300 achieve seismic resistance?
A: The switch uses vibration-resistant components. This design keeps the contact mechanism stable during continuous mechanical or environmental motion.
Q: Why does EA170-21300 support three mounting styles?
A: Three mounting styles provide flexibility in installation. It allows adaptation to different mechanical layouts or space-constrained equipment setups.
Q: How does EA170-21300 allow 360° lever adjustment?
A: The operating lever rotates in 7°30’ steps. This enables fine-tuned actuation angle settings in complex system alignments.
Q: Do EA170-21300 contacts meet Z arrangement specs?
A: Yes, the switch includes two normally open and two normally closed contacts. This matches the NEMA-defined “Z” contact arrangement.
