The EA170-21100 is a mechanical limit switch produced by Danaher for the Snaplock Limit Switches series. In automated equipment, it provides a discrete feedback point that confirms machine members have reached a preset position, allowing controllers to start, stop, or interlock motion sequences. The unit uses a cam-operated lever that turns clockwise to actuate internal contacts, and its wide-style mounting base supports installation in existing panel layouts without additional brackets.
This switch carries a contact arrangement of 2 NO / 2 NC, giving two normally open and two normally closed circuits that can independently signal both logic states to a PLC. The enclosure meets the NEMA 1/4/13 classifications, so it resists indoor dust, dripping water, and oil splashes common around conveyors or gearboxes.
