The EA080-11105 limit switch is manufactured by Danaher for the Snaplock Limit Switches series. It is a shaft-operated position sensor that mounts at the driven end of a cam or lever and reports angular displacement to a control circuit, ensuring motion limits are respected in industrial automation. A standard enclosure surrounds the die-cast body so the device can be installed on machinery without additional guarding.
The switching element follows a Form Z arrangement with a single-pole, double-throw architecture, giving one normally open and one normally closed path identified as 1NO/1NC. Contact tips are made of silver alloy to handle inductive loads while resisting arc erosion. Electrical entry is through a 1/2-14 NPT conduit port, and field wiring up to 12 AWG can be connected to the internal terminals. The housing is cast from die-cast zinc for dimensional stability and corrosion resistance, yet it keeps the overall mass low for standard mounting. A pretrip travel of 10° means the contacts transfer early in the rotation, allowing downstream logic to react before full mechanical overtravel occurs. The pole-throw configuration is SPDT, and the actuating shaft is positioned at the front for operation in the clockwise direction.
The lever can be adjusted in 7°30′ increments across 48 positions, with each serration providing repeatable engagement. It can be tightened to a pretravel torque of 14 lb-in without damaging the detent. Total permissible rotation spans 38°, providing sufficient latitude for cam design while protecting the internal spring stack. The housing mates with a standard mounting pattern, allowing the switch to be secured directly to compatible machinery. Its rotational adjustment allows the actuation point to be aligned with the required machine position without changing the internal contact arrangement.
