Product Description:
The SS50 model, part of the Slo-Syn Synchronous Motors range from Danaher features 28 VDC nominal input; voltage range 20 VDC to 36.5 VDC. Its broad input range provides stability of function in environments where voltages are changing quickly. With nominal input of 20.7 A at full load and 0.5 A under no load, idle energy consumption is reduced. The voltage output remains on the same level, unaffected, across the range of 108 to 120 VAC which makes it suitable for all those devices with a steady AC output.
Delivering an output current of 4.34A AC rms under full load, the SS50 allows for strong and reliable load support in demanding applications. The output power reaches 500 VA, ensuring to handle multiple devices or larger single units. Operating at a fixed output frequency of 60 Hz, this module supports the most commonly used commercial and industrial frequency requirement. A single-phase sine waveform output provides cleaner signal delivery. With harmonic distortion kept at just 0.5% nominal, you can benefit from minimal waveform disruption. A power factor range of +0.8 to -0.8 supports efficient reactive power handling under load variations.
At 85% nominal efficiency, the motor minimizes energy loss during conversion, thus lowers operational costs too. A fast 300 µSec response time from no load to full load guarantees near-instant load transition. The line and load regulation are both controlled at 1% while temperature-based regulation is managed within 2.5%. The SS50 drive supports overload capacity of 110% of rated power for 2 hours and up to 150% for 5 minutes and is useful during demand spikes. The variant weighs 4.3 lbs. or 1.95 kg, with a vibration resistance of 1.5G between 10–2000 Hz and insulation resistance rated at 100 MΩ minimum at 500 VDC.
Frequently Asked Questions about SS50:
Q: How energy-efficient is the SS50 motor during low usage?
A: It only draws 0.5 A at no load, which conserves energy when demand is minimal. This helps you cut back on unnecessary power usage during idle times.
Q: What kind of power fluctuations can the SS50 motor handle?
A: The SS50 supports a wide input range from 20 VDC to 36.5 VDC. It allows to operate smoothly even when power sources aren't fully stable.
Q: Can this synchronous module powers sensitive electronics without waveform distortion?
A: Yes, the SS50 outputs a clean single-phase sine waveform. Its low 0.5% harmonic distortion reduces signal noise in connected devices.
Q: Does the SS50 operate reliably under heat or temperature shifts?
A: The module regulates temperature-based variations within 2.5%. This stabilizes output even when the environment heats up or cools down.
Q: Is the SS50 unit capable of supporting temporary load surges?
A: Yes, it can handle 110% of rated power for 2 hours and 150% for 5 minutes. This gives you flexibility during high-demand situations.
