The SS451-1035 is a synchronous stepping motor manufactured by Danaher as part of the Slo-Syn Synchronous Motors series. Designed for fixed-ratio drive tasks, it converts utility power directly into regulated rotary motion, eliminating the need for a separate frequency inverter. The motor’s rotor aligns with the stator field created by the supply line, delivering repeatable position increments that are useful in indexing tables, labeling stations, and small conveyors. By locking its rotation to the electrical cycle, the product supports straightforward motion control in industrial equipment.
The motor is rated for a 120 VAC single-phase input and draws 0.8 A while operating at a utility frequency of 60 Hz. With the included 14 µF phase-shift capacitor, the stator creates a quadrature field that keeps the rotor synchronized at 72 rpm. Under this operating condition, the motor delivers a minimum running torque of 450 oz-in, enabling it to drive moderate-friction or belt-coupled loads without additional gearing.
