The SS241LE is a synchronous AC motor produced by Danaher as part of the Slo-Syn Synchronous Motors series. Designed for open-loop stepping or constant-speed duties in industrial automation, the unit converts 60 Hz power into precise shaft rotation that can directly index conveyors, feed mechanisms, or metering pumps without external feedback. Its single-phase stator is wound for residential and light-industrial utility service, and the double-ended shaft simplifies coupling to encoders or secondary loads.
The electrical section is rated for 120 VAC at the terminals, and a rated speed of 72 rpm corresponds to the internal pole count when the motor is driven from a 60 Hz source through a phase-shift network. Steady-state line draw is limited to 0.4 A, so the motor can be powered from standard control transformers or branch circuits without special breakers. Minimum running torque reaches 240 oz-in, allowing the rotor to overcome friction and modest process disturbances while maintaining synchronous velocity.
