The KSL091T1Y synchronous stepping motor is manufactured by Danaher within the Slo-Syn Synchronous Motors series. It converts line frequency directly into controlled incremental motion, letting automation equipment index fixtures, valves, or small conveyors without feedback electronics. By operating at a constant electrical step rate, the motor supplies repeatable displacement and maintains position when stalled, making it useful where open-loop accuracy and holding torque are more important than high dynamic speed.
The electrical input is 120 VAC ±5%, and the winding draws 0.50 A from a single-phase source at 60 Hz for full-step operation. Under these conditions, the rotor supplies a minimum holding torque of 240 oz-in, even after extended dwell periods. The permitted load inertia is 4.0 lb-in², a level found in light actuators, so moderate flywheel masses can be started and stopped without losing synchronization. The R/C wiring diagram guides lead identification during panel installation.
