To satisfy the demands of demanding applications, the encoder provides accurate position measurements ranging from 8192 to 10,000 pulses per revolution. Complete, accurate measurement control is provided by this device using two-channel quadrature (AB) signal outputs together with optional Index (Z) and other signals. When the shaft rotates counterclockwise, the encoder phase sequence makes sure that Signal A advances ahead of Signal B, meeting the requirements of standard industrial equipment. The encoder's IP66 seal rating, which supports washdown requirements as evidenced by its NEMA4/IP66 housing standard, allows it to withstand dust and water. Push-pull configurations at 10-30 VDC up to 60 mA or line drivers at 5 VDC ±10% with current levels at 40 mA are required for the two electrical input types that the device takes.
