An incremental optical encoder operates under the name HS35R10248442 Dynapar Encoder . This device offers performance output between 8192 to 10,000 pulses per revolution (PPR). The device generates two-channel AB quadrature outputs with optional Z Index signals and provides complementary signals as an extra output feature.
The HS35R10248442 Dynapar encoder operates under two different electrical power supply conditions. An accuracy level of ±10.8° exists on the same channel yet reaches ±40° on the opposing channel. When set to 10,000 PPR the accuracy measures ±3.9 arc-seconds for the same channel and ±14 arc-seconds for the opposite channel. Through its Line Driver configuration, the device needs a 5 VDC supply voltage which must maintain ±10% of this value while using up to 40 mA power. This encoder has different output capabilities between its Push-Pull (short circuit protected) and Line Driver outputs which are ±30 mA and ±20 mA respectively. The encoder provides at least 200 kHz frequency response for Push-Pull output while offering at least 300 kHz for Line Driver outputs. The device operates at 10,000 RPM as its maximum continuous rate. The housing material consists of aluminum while its sealing compliance with IP66 standards equals the NEMA 4 rating.

Under 11 milliseconds the encoder continues functioning after experiencing 50 G magnitude shocks. The HS35R10248442 operates through an MS Connector for its connection needs. This unit supports a shaft loading capacity of 35 lbs radial as well as 24 lbs axial. Under Push-Pull output conditions, the device runs with a power supply range of 10-30 VDC while consuming up to 60 mA. The connector options for this device consist of either a 7-pin MS3106A-16S-1S version or a 10-pin MS3106A-18-1S.
