Product Description
The model HS35R10246341 is a Sealed Hollowshaft Encoder designed and manufactured by Danaher. It is built for reliable performance in motion control and positioning systems. This encoder provides incremental output and offers high resolution feedback.
This HS35R10246341 sealed hollowshaft encoder supports a configurable resolution range from 1 to 2500 pulses per revolution (PPR). It generates incremental quadrature output signals on channels A and B which are 90 degrees out of phase to enable direction detection. An optional index channel (Z) provides a single pulse per revolution for homing or reference position. All outputs are typically TTL or RS-422 differential. The output format includes complementary signals to ensure signal integrity over long distances. This encoder exhibits a maximum angular error of ± 7.5 arc minutes between any two edges. Quadrature phase separation is specified as 90° ± 22.5° electrical. This ensures reliable direction discrimination by maintaining valid phase relationship between channels A and B. The phase relationship is configured so that Channel A leads Channel B during clockwise shaft rotation as observed from the shaft clamp end. This arrangement enables quadrature decoding for accurate direction determination where a 90° electrical phase shift between channels allows edge based detection of rotational direction.
This HS35R10246341 sealed hollowshaft encoder is engineered for low mechanical resistance. It features a maximum starting torque of 5.0 oz-in and a running torque of 4.5 oz-in. These torque characteristics reduce load on the drive system and minimize power consumption. This encoder is suitable for integration with low inertia high efficiency motion control systems such as stepper or servo motors with limited torque margins. This Dynapar series encoder includes a sealed housing for protection against contaminants and environmental exposure.
