This two-channel encoder improves system motion control performance in challenging applications by having AB outputs, an optional Index Z, and complementary outputs. When the shaft rotates clockwise and counterclockwise as viewed from the shaft end, the phase sense configuration maintains Channel A ahead of Channel B, providing comprehensive direction information. This encoder offers power from 5 to 26 volts DC with an 80 mA maximum limit at the rear. It includes 7273 Open Collector giving 40 mA sinking ability as well as 7272 Push-Pull delivering 40 mA sink and source. The device facilitates mechanical installation through its compatibility with 1/4 and 3/8 shaft dimensions.
