Product Description:
The HS35R50006141 is a hollow-shaft encoder manufactured by Danaher as part of the Dynapar Encoders series. This optical feedback device mounts on the end of a motor or machine shaft and generates digital pulses proportional to rotation. These pulse signals allow motion controllers in industrial automation to monitor position, velocity, and direction with minimal latency.
This model is an incremental encoder that operates from a supply of 4.5–26 VDC while drawing no more than 100 mA, so it can be powered directly from most drive logic rails. A frequency response of at least 100 kHz lets the sensor resolve high-speed events without missing counts, and the output pulse train maintains 180° ± 18° electrical symmetry to keep duty cycles consistent. Quadrature channels are spaced 90° ± 22.5° electrically to support bidirectional counting. The encoder tolerates mating-shaft movement of ±0.050 in axially and ±0.025 in radially, helping it track accurately with standard industrial fits. Mechanical operation remains stable at speeds up to 3600 rpm, and startup torque is limited to 5.0 oz-in, reducing the load on small servo motors during acceleration.
An enclosure rating of NEMA 4 / IP66 seals the electronics against dust and directed water jets, allowing installation on outdoor conveyors or washdown equipment. The bored hub is machined to a tolerance of +0.0003/+0.0005 in, promoting concentric alignment and reducing vibration. Internal bearings can accept a radial load of 40 lb and an axial load of 30 lb without premature wear. The assembly can be stored at temperatures from -40 to +90 °C, so spare units remain serviceable in unconditioned storage areas. Its weight is limited to 16 oz to minimize overhung mass on the driveline, and the shielded housing sustains the stated runout and endplay limits for long-term accuracy.
