Product Description:
The HS35R1024H30H04 is a rotary incremental encoder produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoders series. Designed for closed-loop speed or position feedback, the unit mounts on a motor or machine shaft and translates mechanical rotation into digital signals that can be interpreted by drives, PLCs, or motion controllers. By providing high-resolution quadrature outputs, the encoder supports precise regulation of conveyors, packaging machinery, and other automated equipment.
The encoder generates 1024 PPR, meaning each full revolution is divided into 1,024 equally spaced pulse periods for fine motion tracking. Quadrature channels are phased at 90° ±30° electrical, which allows direction sensing and four-times interpolation inside the controller. Output switching is rated for a maximum frequency of 200 kHz, so the device can sustain high shaft rates without missing pulses, while mechanical speed is limited to 6000 rpm to protect the bearings and electronics. The push-pull drivers operate from a broad 5–26 VDC supply and draw no more than 80 mA, simplifying integration with common 5 V logic or 24 V industrial power rails.
A sealed IP67 enclosure blocks dust and water during washdown, and reliable sensing is maintained across ambient temperatures of -40 to +85 °C. The cast hub accepts a 1-inch electrically isolated bore and is secured by a slotted tether that restrains housing rotation without causing rigid coupling stress. The encoder withstands shocks of up to 400 G for 6 ms and vibration levels of 20 G from 5 to 3,000 Hz, helping maintain signal integrity on stamping presses or mobile equipment. The index channel width is fixed at 180° electrical, while the outputs follow the ABZ push-pull 7272 format through a 5-pin M12 connector. Its typical mass is 1.76 lb, which reduces the load placed on smaller motors during installation and operation.
