Product Description:
The HS35R0200D1P7 is a shaft-mounted rotary encoder produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoders series. It attaches directly to a machine shaft and converts angular movement into electrical pulses. These pulses supply velocity and position data to drives, PLCs, and motion controllers used in industrial automation. The shaft-mounted arrangement eliminates the need for a separate coupling between the encoder and the rotating equipment, which simplifies the mechanical interface and helps conserve installation space.
The housing has a NEMA 4/IP66 enclosure rating, so airborne dust and directed water jets cannot enter the enclosure. The encoder has an axial shaft load capacity of 30 lb and a radial shaft load capacity of 40 lb, allowing it to tolerate belt tension and moderate coupling misalignment. The codewheel can rotate safely at speeds up to 3600 rpm, making the encoder suitable for standard motor and gearbox outputs. The electronics operate from a supply voltage of up to 26 VDC. Signal rise and fall transitions are completed within 1 µs, supporting fast edge detection by connected control equipment. Starting torque is limited to 5.0 oz-in, which reduces the mechanical load placed on smaller drive systems.
The mating shaft can have endplay of ±0.050 in and runout of ±0.025 in, while the bore maintains a diameter tolerance of +0.0003 to +0.0005 in. The logic circuits remain stable at supply voltages as low as 4.5 VDC, widening compatibility with low-voltage controllers. Signal channels support a frequency response of at least 100 kHz, allowing accurate pulse reproduction during high-speed rotation. The total device mass remains below 16 oz, which limits additional loading on the host machine. Input current peaks at 100 mA under the maximum voltage and temperature conditions, allowing the connected power supply to be sized appropriately. The assembly withstands shocks of up to 50 G, helping it maintain stable feedback during high-impact operating conditions.
