Danaher produced the HS35R006084P7 as part of its Dynapar Encoders series. The model is an incremental rotary encoder with a hollow shaft that mounts directly on a drive or motor shaft to supply quadrature feedback for speed regulation, position tracking, and direction sensing in industrial automation. By translating mechanical rotation into timed electrical pulses, the encoder allows motion controllers to supervise conveyors, winders, and other rotary elements through a straightforward electrical interface.
The encoder accepts a shaft through its 5/8 in bore, allowing direct coupling without spacers or flexible couplings. It produces an output of 60 PPR, so one revolution yields 60 pulse cycles and 240 discrete edges when the quadrature channels are decoded at four times the pulse rate. Proper channel timing is maintained by a phasing tolerance of 90° ±22.5° electrical and a symmetry band of 180° ±18°, ensuring equal on-time for each channel. A maximum operating speed of 3600 rpm limits the allowable shaft frequency, while a maximum running drag of 4.5 oz-in keeps the additional load on the prime mover minimal. The housing has a sealing rating of NEMA 4 / IP66, preventing dust ingress and protecting the encoder against water jets when it is installed on open machine frames.
The bearings tolerate an axial force of up to 30 lb and a radial force of up to 40 lb, helping prevent pulley tension or side loading from distorting the internal code disk. The rotor has an inertia of only 7.9 × 10⁻⁴ oz-in-sec², which minimizes reflected load and supports rapid acceleration in servo axes. The encoder withstands shocks of up to 50 G, allowing it to tolerate handling impacts and knocks during operation. Starting torque is limited to 5.0 oz-in, reducing resistance as the connected shaft begins to rotate.
