Product Description:
The HS35R0012M111 is an incremental rotary encoder manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoders series. By translating mechanical rotation into timed pulse streams, the unit supplies position, speed, and direction feedback to drives, servomotor controllers, and PLCs. Its single-ended AB signal format furnishes two offset channels so downstream electronics can detect travel direction while counting pulses, making the device suitable for conveyors, indexing tables, and general motion-control axes. It operates from low-voltage DC supplies commonly found in industrial cabinets.
Electrically, the encoder accepts a regulated input between 4.5 and 26 VDC, drawing no more than 100 mA under worst-case loading. The output stage is an open-collector network with internal 2.2 kΩ pull-up resistors that can switch a maximum of 30 VDC. It provides a minimum frequency response of 100 kHz, allowing reliable edge detection even when the shaft approaches its rated speed. Protection against dust, oil spray, and high-pressure washdown is provided by the NEMA 4/IP66 enclosure rating, so performance is maintained in typical plant environments. The single-ended AB format simplifies wiring because each channel is referenced to ground rather than to a complementary signal line.
The code disk delivers a resolution of 12 PPR, and the channel timing maintains 90° ± 22.5° electrical quadrature, enabling controllers to interpolate for finer position measurements when needed. The shaft may spin continuously at up to 3600 rpm, while the bearing system withstands 30 lb of axial load and 40 lb of radial load without a loss of accuracy. With a sinking capability of 40 mA per channel, the open-collector drivers can feed optically isolated modules or multiple parallel counters. Field wiring terminates at a rugged 7-pin connector, providing a secure detachable connection while keeping the supply and signal conductors segregated from shield drain paths.
