Product Description:
The HS352000G13A7 is a shaft encoder manufactured by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoders series. The unit mounts on a motor or machine shaft and converts mechanical rotation into digital pulse trains, enabling drive controllers to track angular displacement and rotational speed in automated equipment. Its differential bidirectional signal format supports forward and reverse counting for closed-loop positioning in machinery that operates in either direction.
The code wheel provides 2000 PPR, allowing motion controllers to count 2,000 pulses during each full revolution. The electronics accept a supply between 5–26 VDC, allowing the model to operate from logic-level or higher-voltage field rails without external regulators. Differential outputs are generated by a 5 V line driver (7272) that supplies complementary signals for noise-resistant transmission over long cable runs. The encoder supports a peak operating speed of 3600 rpm, and the sensing path can follow transitions up to 100 kHz while maintaining pulse fidelity at high speeds. Starting torque remains below 5.0 oz-in, reducing the force needed to initiate shaft rotation. A moment of inertia of 25.6 × 10⁻⁴ oz-in-s² also keeps the dynamic load on the connected motor low during acceleration and deceleration.
A sealed housing rated NEMA 4/IP66 blocks dust and high-pressure water, permitting installation outside control cabinets. The internal circuitry operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to +100 °C, while the components withstand storage temperatures from -40 to +90 °C without loss of calibration. A through-shaft design with a 1-inch bore couples directly to common industrial motor shafts. A 10-pin connector provides a single connection point for power and quadrature channels, reducing the number of separate connections required during installation. The sealed enclosure protects the sensing components in process areas exposed to airborne debris, moisture, or routine equipment cleaning. Complementary output channels help preserve signal quality when electrical noise is present near motors, drives, and power wiring.
