Product Description:
The HR62503600111 is an incremental rotary encoder manufactured by Danaher as part of the Dynapar Encoders series. In an automation loop, the device converts mechanical rotation into timed electrical pulses so that drives and PLCs can track shaft speed and angular position. Installed on a motor or conveyor line, it supplies the closed-loop feedback needed to maintain synchronized motion, detect slip, and execute position-based commands in packaging machines, material-handling systems, and general factory equipment.
The encoder has a resolution of 360 PPR, delivering one pulse for every degree of rotation and supporting medium-precision indexing tasks. Its maximum shaft speed of 10,000 RPM allows direct coupling to fast spindles without exceeding the speed limit of the sensing elements. The housing has a NEMA 4 / IP66 enclosure rating, which protects the internal components against dust and powerful water jets. Output signaling is provided by an open-collector driver in a single-ended format, permitting connection to standard sinking inputs when an external pull-up resistor is installed. The solid shaft has a diameter of 3/8 in and uses a flange-mount arrangement to center the code disk accurately on the mating machine frame. Electrical conductors exit through a side-mounted connector, allowing the wiring to remain inside protective cable trays.
The mechanical assembly withstands an axial load of 80 lb and an equal radial load, allowing it to accommodate direct belt tension or gear contact without premature bearing wear. Quadrature phasing is 90° ±22.5°, maintaining the required lead-lag relationship between channels A and B for direction sensing. The encoder produces ABZ signals with a symmetry of 180° ±18° and an index width of 180° ±18°, providing incremental position information and a reference pulse during each revolution. An internal shaft seal prevents fluid from entering the housing along the rotating shaft and helps preserve operation in dusty or wet industrial locations.
