The HR62501000021 is a rotary incremental encoder manufactured by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoders series. It translates mechanical shaft rotation into digital pulse trains so motion controllers can measure angular speed and accumulate position counts in automated machinery. This model uses a single-ended output, omits an index channel to simplify wiring, and routes its signals through a side-mounted connector for convenient integration into control systems. These features suit feedback applications in packaging lines, conveyors, and general servo axes where compact sensing hardware is required.
The encoder generates 100 PPR, providing 3.6 degrees of angular resolution per pulse. A 7272 push-pull line driver can source and sink current, allowing reliable signal transmission over standard twisted-pair wiring without differential receivers. Logical transitions operate at an output level of approximately 5 VDC, matching common PLC counter inputs. The encoder provides a minimum frequency response of 100 kHz, allowing it to process rapid pulse transitions during high-speed operation. Its maximum rotational speed is 10,000 rpm, and the output maintains clearly separated pulse edges for accurate speed measurement within the supported operating range.
