Product Description:
The HR6250010000F is a rotary shaft encoder manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoders series. Installed on a motor or line shaft, it delivers incremental pulse feedback to drive controllers. This feedback supports velocity regulation and indexed positioning tasks in automated material-handling and packaging machinery.
This encoder outputs two signals in AB quadrature, allowing directional sensing with a resolution of 10 PPR that suits low-to-medium-accuracy speed loops. The frequency response is at least 100 kHz, so controllers can track rapid shaft changes without losing pulses. The electronics accept a supply range of 5–26 VDC, simplifying integration with both TTL systems and 24-volt PLC control cabinets. An open-collector output stage sinks current rather than sourcing it and supports a maximum output current of 40 mA. A fixed 2.2 kΩ pull-up resistor is incorporated, so external biasing is not required. No index channel is present, so homing routines must rely on external sensors or software counters when an absolute reference is needed.
The housing carries a NEMA 4/IP66 rating, protecting the sensing elements against dust ingress and high-pressure washdowns often encountered on food-processing or chemical-production lines. Continuous operation is permitted from 0 to +70 °C, accommodating temperatures commonly found around industrial machinery and control cabinets. The stainless steel shaft can operate at speeds up to 10,000 rpm and has a diameter of 3/8 in for use with standard couplings. Internal bearings tolerate radial and axial loads of up to 80 lb, while the rigid flange mount maintains concentric alignment without additional brackets. A watertight side-exit cable measuring 15 ft carries power and signals from the enclosure to a remote drive without requiring separate conduit. Its molded strain relief resists the vibration commonly produced by high-speed equipment.
