Product Description:
The HC52550000243 Shafted Encoder is built for industrial grade performance where high speed and accurate position sensing is critical. This encoder is part of a series designed to offer incremental optical feedback in demanding environments. Its construction ensures long term durability and mechanical integrity.
This HC52550000243 shafted encoder operates with a resolution range of 3000 to 5000 pulses per revolution (PPR) for accurate position feedback in motion control systems. It uses an incremental optical sensing method and features a two channel quadrature output (AB) with an optional index (Z) signal. Complementary outputs enhance signal reliability in noisy environments. It supports three types of output configurations: 7272 Push-Pull, 7272 Differential Line Driver and 7273 Open Collector each rated at 40 mA. These outputs can function as a source or sink with the Open Collector variant supporting sink only. This encoder has an accuracy rating of ±10.8°/PPR in the worst case edge to edge scenario. The phase sense is designed so that channel A leads B for both clockwise and counterclockwise shaft rotations when viewed from the shaft end. Its maximum allowable shaft speed is 10,000 RPM which is suitable for most high speed applications. This incremental encoder is compatible with 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch shaft sizes.
This Danaher HC52550000243 shafted encoder supports 40 lbs. radial and 30 lbs. axial shaft loading. The starting torque of this encoder shaft is specified at 1.0 oz-in at 25 °C. These features make it suitable for demanding industrial automation, robotics and industrial motor feedback systems. This Dynapar series encoder features a stainless steel shaft for enhanced wear resistance while the housing and cover are made of lightweight yet strong aluminum.
