Product Description:
The HA62525400H41 encoder is a flange-mounted incremental feedback device manufactured by Danaher as part of the Dynapar Encoders series. It converts rotary motion into electrical pulses that a drive, counter, or PLC can count for speed or position control in automated equipment. Signals are presented in single-ended Format A through a side-mounted 5-pin M12 connector, facilitating straightforward cable routing when space is limited around the machine frame.
The sensing disk inside the unit produces 2540 PPR, giving controllers fine angular resolution for precise closed-loop regulation. The electronics support a minimum response frequency of 100 kHz, so the pulse train remains accurate even when shaft velocity changes rapidly. The maximum mechanical speed is 5000 rpm; staying within this limit helps protect the code wheel from excessive centrifugal stress. The output stage uses a 7272 line driver, supplying complementary logic levels that maintain signal integrity over long cable runs and resist electrical noise. An enclosure rating of NEMA 4/IP66 seals the housing against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets, allowing installation on washdown production lines without additional protective covers.
The encoder accommodates a shaft with a diameter of 3/8 in and can tolerate axial forces up to 40 lb and radial forces up to 35 lb. These load capacities support direct mounting on moderate-load motor or gearbox outputs when the applied forces remain within the stated limits. Starting friction is limited to 2.5 oz-in, minimizing the drive torque that the host machine must allocate to overcome sensor drag during acceleration from rest. A side-mounted connector keeps wiring clear of the rotating hub, while the flange supports secure alignment with the machine interface. The encoder does not include an index channel, simplifying counting logic in applications that do not require a once-per-revolution reference marker.
