Product Description:
The HA62501500341 is an incremental rotary encoder produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoders series. Encoders in this series translate mechanical shaft rotation into electrical pulse trains that allow motion controllers to track position and speed in automated machinery. By coupling directly to a motor or line shaft, this model provides the feedback needed for closed-loop regulation of conveyors, packaging equipment, and other industrial axes.
Its optical sensing disk delivers a resolution of 150 PPR, producing 150 quadrature pulse cycles during each full revolution. The housing has a sealing grade of NEMA 4/IP66, protecting the internal optics against washdown jets and airborne particulates. A maximum mechanical speed of 5000 rpm permits coupling to medium-speed motors without overspeeding the glass code wheel. The electronics draw up to 80 mA from the control power supply, limiting heat buildup inside the enclosure. The stainless-steel shaft has a diameter of 3/8 in, rides in precision bearings, and requires no more than 2.5 oz-in of starting torque. The side-mounted 10-pin MS connector simplifies cable routing, while the flange mounting pattern provides a rigid interface for gearboxes or C-face motor adapters. A glass disk maintains edge clarity during high-speed rotation for reliable photoelectric detection.
The encoder guarantees a minimum frequency response of 100 kHz, allowing compatible counting electronics to resolve every signal edge at the maximum operating speed. Signal pairs are driven by a 7272 line driver, which sources and sinks symmetrical currents to improve noise immunity over long cable runs. The encoder provides differential outputs with an index, supplying two quadrature phases and a once-per-revolution reference mark for homing routines. Rotor inertia is only 3.0 × 10^-4 oz-in-sec², minimizing the sensor’s effect on acceleration commands from servo systems. The low-inertia rotor helps preserve responsive motion when the connected shaft changes speed rapidly. Differential signaling also reduces susceptibility to common-mode electrical interference in industrial cable routes.
