Product Description:
The HA52525400000 incremental encoder is manufactured by Danaher and distributed as part of the Dynapar Encoders series. The unit attaches directly to a machine shaft and produces two quadrature output channels that convert mechanical rotation into timed pulse trains. Those signals enable drive amplifiers, PLC high-speed counters, and instrumentation modules to determine position and speed for closed-loop regulation in conveying, printing, and general factory machinery.
With a resolution of 2540 PPR, the disk produces 2,540 pulses per revolution, allowing fine incremental measurements when the receiving electronics perform edge multiplication. The stainless steel shaft can rotate at up to 5,000 rpm while remaining within the bearing and code disk limits. Protective sealing rated NEMA 12/IP54 blocks dust and dripping oil during operation. The internal electronics support a minimum count rate of 100 kHz, so pulses generated at maximum speed will not be missed. The open-collector drivers can sink 40 mA, and the internal 2.2 kΩ pull-up network supports compatibility with 5–30 V logic buses. The device uses a flange-mount pattern and an end-mounted cable exit, providing straightforward installation clearance in compact machinery.
Electrical termination is provided through a 7-pin MS3106A-16S-1S connector located on the housing end face, keeping the wiring straight when the unit is recessed into machinery. The LED-based sensing circuit draws up to 80 mA of supply current, which must be considered when sizing the controller’s sensor rail. Startup drag torque is limited to 1.0 oz-in, permitting belts or light flexible couplings to drive the code wheel without measurable speed loss. The hardened shaft measures 3/8 in in diameter and accepts direct loading. Its bearings tolerate 40 lb of axial thrust and 35 lb of radial side load without requiring additional support structures. Because the encoder does not include an index channel, the machine must establish its absolute zero position externally.
