Product Description:
The H230500104134 is an incremental rotary encoder manufactured by Danaher as part of the Dynapar Encoders series. This sensor converts shaft rotation into digital quadrature signals so a motion controller can calculate position, speed, and direction in industrial automation systems such as conveyors, packaging lines, and servomotor feedback loops. Its flange-mounted housing provides a stable attachment point for installation on compatible machinery. A pilot diameter centers the encoder during mounting, helping align the shaft with the connected coupling and limiting unnecessary bearing loads.
The encoder produces 500 PPR of incremental output, giving the controller 2,000 edge counts per revolution when both the A and B channels are decoded. A differential line driver rated for 5–26 V supports ABZ quadrature signaling and cable runs with a minimum response frequency of 100 kHz. The electronics accept a supply of 5–26 VDC, allowing the device to operate from a power rail shared with other sensors. Its stainless steel shaft has a 3/8-inch diameter and supports a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm, enabling feedback from high-speed spindles without exceeding the encoder’s speed limit. The face-mount pattern uses four #6-32 screws on a 2.00-inch bolt circle to align the flange-mounted housing against gearboxes or drive ends.
The encoder has a rated radial and axial load capacity of 80 lb, allowing it to tolerate moderate belt tension or coupling loads without additional bearing blocks. Its bearings and seal limit running friction, resulting in a maximum starting torque of 1.0 oz-in. The 1.25-inch pilot centers the flange, while the shaft flat measures 0.70 inches long by 0.16 inches wide to secure set-screw hubs and prevent slipping. Signal connections are consolidated through a 10-pin end connector that carries power and the A, B, and Z channels in one plug. The permitted operating temperature range is 0 to +70 °C, which is suitable for many industrial control cabinets and typical indoor automation environments.
