Product Description:
The H220010032033PS is an incremental shaft encoder built by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoders series. Supplied in a servo-mount housing, it couples directly to a motor or machine shaft. The encoder converts mechanical rotation into electrical pulses used for speed or position feedback in industrial automation systems. This mounting arrangement supports compact integration with motors and rotating machinery where direct feedback is required.
This model withstands dusty or splashing environments with a sealed enclosure rated at NEMA 12 / IP54. Each full turn produces 10 PPR, a resolution suited to low-count tachometry or coarse positioning loops. Its signal chain handles at least 100 kHz, allowing accurate pulse detection during rapid rotation. Differential output is provided by a 7272 differential line driver, which sources or sinks balanced currents for noise-resistant transmission over long cable runs. The control electronics draw a maximum of 80 mA, so the encoder can be powered from a typical 5 V logic supply without excessive load. A front-panel LED confirms power and signal status, simplifying field diagnostics. The hub shaft interface measures 3/8 inch and includes a collet clamp that centers the encoder while accommodating minor shaft tolerances. No shaft seal is fitted, which minimizes friction and starting torque.
The rotor can spin at up to 10,000 rpm without signal loss, keeping feedback reliable on high-speed spindles or small servo motors. Starting friction remains low because the encoder requires only 1.0 oz-in of torque to begin turning. It tolerates mating shaft end play of ±0.025 inch and runout of 0.010 inch TIR, so installation does not require precision-ground shafts. Field wiring terminates at a 7-pin MS side-mount connector that directs the leads away from the rotating hub. The connector locks with a single bayonet action to maintain a secure electrical connection during machine operation. The low-friction shaft arrangement also limits radial loading on the internal bearings during continuous rotation.
