Product Description:
The EN421024R4210 Incremental encoder is a precision feedback device developed by Danaher that offers accurate position and speed monitoring for industrial automation applications.
The EN421024R4210 incremental encoder can accept input voltages between 7 and 15 VDC, 7 to 26 VDC, and 10 to 30 VDC, which makes it compatible with a number of control systems. At 80°C, the encoder can handle output currents of up to 125 mA per channel with a differential line driver output like DC 4428 or DC 2707. Both data and index messages can be sent at up to 200 kHz with this encoder. The position is locked at 180° to B low by default. The timing is set up so that channel A comes before channel B when the shaft turns counterclockwise from the clamp end. In terms of electricity, the quadrature timing is 90° ± 30° and the waveform symmetry is 180° ± 30°. The square wave output has rise and fall times of less than 1 µs into a 1000 pF load. The shaft has a maximum speed of 6000 RPM and a minimum speed of 3600 RPM. The encoder is equipped with a terminal block that terminates in a spring cage closure that is incapable of exploding.
Bearings with a rating of 61806-ZZ are used in the EN421024R4210 encoder. These bearings can handle 500 million turns at full load and 500 billion turns at 10% load. The hard-anodized metal used to make the housing and cover makes them last a long time. The encoder can handle a 50G shock for 11 ms and 20G vibrations at 5–2000 Hz. IECEx UL 22.0040X and UL 22 ATEX 2655X are two of the certifications. The encoder ensures reliable signal integrity with differential line driver output.
Frequently Asked Questions about EN421024R4210:
Q: Do EN421024R4210 outputs support high signal integrity?
A: Yes, it uses differential line drivers. This minimizes noise and ensures clean signals over longer cable distances.
Q: How does EN421024R4210 manage high-frequency response?
A: The encoder supports up to 200 kHz frequency. It delivers fast and accurate signal output for dynamic applications.
Q: Why is the EN421024R4210 enclosure rated IP67?
A: IP67 ensures complete dust protection and immersion resistance. It maintains functionality in environments with moisture or particles.
Q: How do EN421024R4210 bearings ensure long service life?
A: The bearings offer 500 million revolutions at rated load. At 10% load, they reach 500 billion revolutions.
Q: Why does EN421024R4210 have a rise time of <1 µs?
A: Fast rise and fall times below 1 µs support accurate square wave output. This improves responsiveness in control feedback systems.
