Product Description:
The E1410000A701 is a rotary position feedback device produced by Danaher and included in the Dynapar Encoders series. It employs incremental optical sensing to translate shaft rotation into two square-wave channels plus an index signal, giving controllers real-time speed and position data. Installed on motor, conveyor, or metering shafts, the unit supports closed-loop automation by delivering evenly spaced pulses that a drive or PLC can count for velocity regulation, homing, and fault detection across a wide range of industrial machinery.
The encoder delivers a resolution of 1000 PPR, so every full revolution yields one thousand A-channel pulses for fine angular granularity. Internal electronics are powered by a regulated 5 VDC source and draw no more than 80 mA during operation. Differential line drivers on the A, B, and Z outputs can sink or source up to 40 mA, allowing reliable transmission through long cables and into high-speed counters. A minimum bandwidth of 100 kHz ensures that the pulse train maintains proper edge separation when the shaft approaches its mechanical limit, preserving timing accuracy for motion profiles that demand rapid acceleration and deceleration.
A glass code disc and stainless-steel hub limit rotating inertia to just 3.8 × 10⁻⁵ oz-in-s², reducing the load on the host motor during starts and stops. The stainless-steel shaft withstands continuous service up to 5,000 rpm and tolerates external forces of 5 lb radial and 3 lb axial without compromising bearing life. A NEMA 12/IP54 enclosure protects the optical assembly against dust ingress and splashed fluids. A 3-foot terminated cable supports connection to external equipment. Quadrature phasing at 90° ± 36° electrical and a bidirectional index output provide the required signals for integration into standard drive systems.
