The CA-14D635 is a prewired feedback cable supplied by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoders series. The assembly connects Dynapar incremental encoders to motion controllers, carrying differential A, B, and Z channels along with supply and common leads so position data reaches drive electronics without signal loss in industrial automation. Its predefined pinout eliminates wiring errors that can otherwise cause encoder count loss or drive faults. By providing a dedicated connector-to-cable interface, it simplifies installation inside conveyors, presses, and other machinery that rely on precise shaft feedback.
The cable measures 10 ft long, providing sufficient reach between the encoder housing and cabinet without excess slack that could degrade impedance. An overall foil shield wraps the conductors, forming a continuous ground reference that limits electromagnetic interference from nearby variable-frequency drives. The signal pair uses a differential line driver, so the drive receives complementary A, B, and Z pulses that cancel common-mode noise. At the encoder end, a keyed 10-pin MS connector organizes each lead and simplifies connection. Power supply lines are grouped into two twisted pairs of 24 AWG conductors to balance resistance and flexibility while maintaining a low voltage drop across the cable run.
