Product Description:
The AI25001321127 is an absolute optical encoder produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoders series. As a single-turn device, it reports a unique angular code for every shaft position across 360 degrees, removing the need for homing routines after power loss. By converting mechanical rotation into digital feedback, this unit supports closed-loop control of servomotors, indexing tables, and similar automation components that demand deterministic position data.
The encoder provides a native 13-bit resolution, meaning it divides one revolution into 8,192 discrete counts for fine incremental control. Its absolute accuracy is ±0.01°; this tolerance limits the maximum deviation between the reported angle and the true shaft angle under calibrated conditions. Repeatability is tighter at ±0.002°, so successive readings at the same mechanical position remain highly consistent. An enclosure rating of IP64 guards the aluminum housing against dust ingress and splashing fluids encountered in plant environments. The optoelectronic module is rated for shaft speeds up to 10,000 rpm, allowing direct mounting on high-speed spindles without overspeed errors, provided vibration and bearing loads stay within design limits.
Mechanical integration uses a square flange pattern that simplifies alignment with gearboxes or motor end bells, and the flange width measures 63.5 mm. A pilot diameter of 31.75 mm centers the body, while four bolts pass through the 64.8 mm mounting depth to secure the aluminum housing. The stainless steel shaft is 19.27 mm long and 3/8 in in diameter, matching common coupling hubs. Because there is no shaft seal, the front bearing must be shielded from pressurized washdown. The single-turn optical disk and aluminum construction keep inertia low while maintaining encoder rigidity.
