Product Description:

The PS-33061-R is a high-performance servo drive from the API servo drives series made by Danaher known for innovation in the technology business. It is designed for precision motion control and complies with CULus safety standards. The PS-33 servo drive support RS-485 communication and operates in an ambient temperature up to 50 °C and humidity 90% RH.

The PS-33 servo drive accepts 230 VAC input and supports both single-phase or three-phase AC supply. It operates at 50/60 Hz frequency. The PS-33061-R servo drive has a maximum input current of 6 A and the output delivers 325 VDC while the output current is also rated at 6 A. The PS-33 servo drive works with ±10V analog commands and it also accepts pulse width modulation (PWM) and step/direction signals. It has resolver feedback for absolute position value of connected motor. The PS-33 servo drive is compatible with encoders TTL, HTL and Sin/Cos types. It features protection to prevent operational failures. The overcurrent shutdown activates at 150% load and the DC bus overvoltage protection trips above 400 VDC. The PS-33 servo drive has thermal sensors to monitor IGBT temperature and it achieves cooling through forced air. The PS-33 servo drive’s enclosure has an IP20 rating.

The PS-33061-R servo drive handles high-efficiency switching through IGBT module and has a dedicated DSP that manages real-time control. It has DC bus capacitors to stabilize power delivery and offers screw terminal connections. The PS-33061-R servo drive utilizes a 9-pin D-sub connector for control signals and has compatibility with Danaher TBM/S series motors where 1.5 kW continuous power is needed. The PS-33061-R servo drive’s Peak performance reaches 3.0 kW for brief moments under certain conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions about PS-33061-R:

Q: How does the PS-33061-R servo drive handle overcurrent conditions?

A: The PS-33061-R features an overcurrent shutdown mechanism that activates when load exceeds 150%. This helps protect the system from damage, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding applications.

Q: Why does the PS-33061-R servo drive have thermal sensors?

A: Thermal sensors monitor the IGBT temperature, ensuring that the system doesn't overheat during operation. By preventing overheating, the drive maintains optimal performance and prolongs the system's lifespan.

Q: What is the role of the DC bus capacitors in the PS-33061-R?

A: The DC bus capacitors stabilize power delivery by smoothing out fluctuations. This ensures reliable operation even in fluctuating load conditions, enhancing the drive’s efficiency.

Q: How does the PS-33061-R achieve high-efficiency switching?

A: The PS-33061-R uses an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) module for high-efficiency switching. This reduces power losses, enabling smoother operation and energy savings during precise motion control tasks.

Q: What does the IP20 rating of the PS-33061-R mean?

A: The IP20 rating indicates that the PS-33061-R is protected from solid objects larger than 12 mm but is not dust-tight. This makes it suitable for indoor environments without direct exposure to excessive dust.
