Product Description:

The TEL-090-07 is a high performance DC powered microstepping drive designed for precise motion control in industrial automation applications. It supports hybrid stepper and brushless servo motors. The drive integrates seamlessly with EtherCAT networks for automation systems requiring advanced motion control.

This Copley Controls TEL-090-07 DC microstepping drive supports multiple operational modes including Profile Position, Interpolated Position (PVT) and Homing. It can operate using Cyclic Synchronous Position, Velocity or Torque modes that offers flexibility for various motion requirements. It features EtherCAT communication using the CANopen protocol (CiA-402). Dual RJ-45 ports with 100BASE-TX format ensure robust connectivity. The drive supports feedback from incremental and absolute encoders to enable dual loop systems or master encoder configurations for cam tables. The drive includes a multi mode encoder port which can function as an input or output. Additional control modes include RS-232 ASCII, step/direction and digital inputs for pre programmed sequences. It supports BiSS absolute encoders for high speed serial communication and advanced safety features like CRC and error handling. The EnDat interface of the drive combines features of a digital clock and data communication protocol similar to SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) with the added functionality of analog Sin/Cos signal transmission from the same encoder.

The Stepnet series microstepping drive has a DC power output rated at + 5 V DC with a 500 mA limit protected against thermal and short circuit conditions. It combines power and control efficiency to support incremental feedback for precise positioning. The Absolute-A encoder interface based on RS-485 ensures uninterrupted operations with battery backup. This drive is compact, reliable and capable of handling demanding industrial applications. Its comprehensive feature set makes it a valuable component for motion control systems in automation and robotics.
