Copley Controls' Stepnet Compact Drive 800-1560 is a compact motion control unit with high performance, making it an ideal choice for applications with limited space. The drives feature a 32-bit position counter with high resolution for precise position control. This Stepnet drive has a 6A RMS phase current rating to handle demanding conditions and still operates smoothly. The 4 MHz step input rate provides fast and responsive control, making this drive suitable for high-speed applications. These drives also have active damping for anti-resonances to reduce vibrations and improve overall operation stability.
The Stepnet drive also has stall detection to detect and fix motor stalls to avoid damage and downtime. The following error of the drive is minimized to ~1 step, which helps the system to accurately track position. With a resolution of 4000 counts per revolution, the encoder feedback can be followed to constantly monitor the motor position to ensure high precision. This drive features a 25 kHz chopper, which significantly enhances efficiency. This allows users to define custom movement patterns (which are also programmable motion profiles) for a large variety of industrial applications.
The Stepnet Compact Drive offers versatility, with eight different modes to choose from for the best control mode for a given application. Microstepping with 2 to 256 micro-steps per step helps in a smooth motion and fine positioning. Due to stable and precise operation, current ripple is kept below 2%. This drive allows operational temperature from 0 - 70C. It is suitable for use in a variety of industrial environments.
