The 800-418 DC servo amplifier is used mainly in various applications, especially where there is a need to have accurate operation of a motor. Its cables are 25 meters long, and this feature is perfect for large and complex industrial systems. In addition, Copley Controls has a patented circuit that allows the amplifiers to be connected in parallel, helping to distribute the brake power more efficiently.

This Copley DC servo amplifier has a maximum rated current of 40 A. In terms of electrical features, it is designed to handle tough industrial tasks. Motion control is efficient for providing secondary feedback (EXTPOS; POSITION screen) for efficient feedback control of the amplifiers (FBTYPE) to ensure accurate motion control. A gearing feedback (GEARMODE) is also available for additional control of the system's dynamic performance. This analog amplifier features a precision level of ~10V, differential input voltage and 1.25 mV resolution for motion control applications. For high-speed, and high-torque motors, the differential inputs provide high accuracy and fast response.

The flexibility of the system is improved by two differential inputs and a common mode voltage range of ~10 V. Copley DC servo amplifiers include an update rate of 62.5 us for quick data processing and fast response. It is essential to properly ground the cables, and CNC GND (Terminal X3/1) must be joined to AGND. Analog Input 1 (X3/4-5) is configured for optimal system performance and the differential input of Analog Input 1 is provided through it.
