The power section can supply a continuous motor current of 10 A and reach a peak current of 20 A for up to 2 seconds during acceleration. A switching rate of 25 kHz minimizes audible noise and smooths current ripple, while the small-signal response has a -3 dB bandwidth of 3 kHz for closed-loop operation. Command changes are processed quickly, and the enable line releases the drive within 1 ms to support rapid machine startup. The input stage uses a logic threshold of 2.5 V, and a 2 A/V current-monitor output provides an analog signal for drive diagnostics. The electrical design draws 16 A from the supply and limits inrush current to 19 A while the internal capacitors charge. The current loop requires at least 400 µH of motor or filter inductance to prevent excessive current ripple and high-frequency oscillation. When the enable input is deasserted, the output stage turns off promptly without continuing to energize the motor. Protective circuitry also inhibits the output while a voltage or temperature fault remains active. Normal operation can resume after the applicable bus voltage and chassis temperature return to acceptable levels.
